I have the chance in the beginning of the previous week to participate at the “Enterprise Manager 10GR5 FY10 EMEA Road show” in Frankfurt - Germany. The Oracle Enterprise Manager product management team hosted this EM 10g Release 5 sales training roadshows at different locations. This 2-day class included latest product updates in Enterprise Manager (EM) 10g R5 release and competitive overview.
I’d like to summarize this presentation by saying that Oracle Enterprise Manager offers a very unique approach to managing the entire application stack including the management of each individual component in the stack. Some of the unique capabilities are listed here which include Real User Experience Insight (RUEI) accelerators for Oracle Applications, Application Diagnostics for Java, Provisioning and Patching automation, Database Replay, SQL performance analyzer and template based deployments of Oracle Virtual Machine (VM). These unique capabilities help you manage your IT efficiently, lower the cost of managing your IT while delivering a high quality of service to your end users and business owners.

- Enterprise Manager Competitive Session: this session gave an overview of the EM and SAM competitive landscape, highlights Oracle’s key differentiators.
- Application Management Solutions : Understanding Apps Customers and Technical Challenges, Apps projects Key Players, Milestones and Decision Makers
- Understanding EM for Apps: Opportunity and Business Challenges and Solution Overview
As I manage the “Application Management Solutions” session, I would like to share with you the key messages:
